Here at KekCon, everybody is welcome and so are their memes. While this is all in good fun we will; to the best of our ability, intend to eliminate inappropriate conduct from the convention.

Memberships (AKA Meme-berships):
*KekCon reserves the right to revoke or suspend memberships and passes. By signing up for a membership you voluntarily agree to any and all rules, guidelines and policies of the event. If an individual breaks the rules of the convention, they may be barred from the convention, either for a certain time period or for the rest of the event or permanently. If an individual breaks the law – city, state or federal – he or she will be arrested. Rules and policies are always subject to change. If you have been accused of harassment and feel that you were treated unfairly you may appeal to the convention council, but that decision will be final.

*You must wear your membership badges at all times to be admitted to any convention function. Wear your badge. Security will be keeping an eye out for them.

Lost your Badge?
*You may speak to registration or appeal to the convention council. We do not refund lost or stolen badges.

Because BYOC is free for all, you also abide by the rules, policies and guidelines in the BYOC. No Exceptions.

*KeKCon does not affiliate with any political groups, ideas, events, organizations, movements, etc. We do NOT condone political discourse. If you feel the need to bring politics, protest, or any other inappropriate behavior we will remove you and if need be press any possible charges. We do not care if you are left or right; this is about gaming.  We created this event strictly to keep politics out of gaming, not the other way around.
*Consent includes photography. You will not take pictures of people, individuals, adults, children, attendees, guests, vendors, etc without their consent. If you are caught doing so we demand that you comply with our requests and also delete the images. If not then you will be removed from the event and any possible charges will be pressed if deemed necessary.

Harassment:
*We do not condone harassment against any participant, for any reason. Harassment includes deliberate intimidation and targeting individuals in a manner that makes them feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or afraid.

*Harassment can include physically or verbally threatening, annoying, unwelcoming attentions, stalking, pushing, shoving or use of physical force; which in any way creates a disturbance that is disruptive or dangerous, as well as any boisterous, lewd or generally offensive behavior or language, using sexually explicit or offensive language or conduct, or profanity, obscene gestures or racial, religious or ethnic slurs will be considered harassment.

*Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. We reserve the right to respond to harassment in the manner we deem appropriate, including but not limited to expulsion without refund and referral to the relevant authorities. If you are found abusing this system, lying, attempting to deceive you will be removed from the event and possibly banned.

*This Code of Conduct applies to everyone participating at KekCon – from attendees and exhibitors to BYOC, streamers, speakers, press, volunteers, and security. Everyone. No exceptions.

*Anyone can report harassment. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, you can contact our Security,  go to the registration desk/info booth or the prop check area.

*Convention staff will help participants contact hotel security, local law enforcement, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of KekCon.

*It is very important that if you are being harassed or are in any way endangered, you report it immediately. We cannot address anything that we are not made aware of and we need whatever detail can be provided, such as names, badge numbers or other descriptive information.

*If you feel you have been harassed please find the nearest KekCon volunteer.  They will direct you to the security operation in the venue.

Age:
*If you’re old enough to have a driver’s license, then you can roam the halls of KekCon by yourself. We expect that you behave and follow the convention policies, or suffer the consequences if you are caught. But, children under the age of 16 need to keep a parent (or guardian) nearby at all times.
*Possession of alcoholic beverages by anyone under 21 years of age is grounds for expulsion from the convention without refund.
*Events, videos, and panels that KekCon deems to be of an adult nature require government issued photo identification indicating appropriate age (18+) to enter.

Any such lines will not be honored and you will be sent to the back of the official line started by our volunteers. The line for the NEXT panel can start forming only after the line for the CURRENT panel is inside and seated.
**Exception(s) – you may start lining up two hours prior to the FIRST panel of the day or in the unlikely event that the room does not have a current panel, you may start lining up once the last panel to use the room is seated. Violation of these rules will get you ejected from the event and may be disqualified from the costume contest.
*Bladed weapons must be cased or sheathed at all times. No clowning around or showing off in the common areas. Any weapon used in an offensive manner will be confiscated and will be deemed as harassment. We expect you to use good judgment.
*Real firearms are not allowed at KekCon. This includes those attendees who maintain a Georgia Weapons Carry License or a similar permit from another state. KekCon security, hotel security, and local law enforcement officials will treat anything that looks like a real weapon as a weapon. Attendees who choose to ignore this policy may be asked to leave the convention and will have their membership revoked. Since violators can also be arrested, you should know that KekCon does not post bail. (Sworn law enforcement are excused from this policy.)

P.S. That’s also pretty insulting to the minorities on our staff who have been a huge part in putting together this event.
*KekCon does not affiliate with any political groups, ideas, events, organizations, movements, etc. We do NOT condone political discourse. If you feel the need to bring politics, protest, or any other inappropriate behavior we will remove you and if need be press any possible charges. *Consent includes photography. You will not take pictures of people, individuals, adults, children, attendees, guests, vendors, etc without their consent. If you are caught doing so we demand that you comply with our requests and delete/properly dispose of the images. If not then you will be removed from the event and any possible charges will be pressed if deemed necessary.

We sure do know that looks like a lot but really think of this as a very detailed disclaimer on how to live peacefully at conventions. Basically if its something bad, don’t do it!

But most of all, enjoy your weekend at KekCon!
